Selection Procedure:  Online Test. The selection will be made on the basis of performance in Online Test, Personal Interview and/or GD. Merely satisfying the eligibility norms does not entitle a candidate to be called for written test & interview. The details of the written test shall be communicated to the candidates in advance. The Written Test will be Objective type. 
Note : The questions in objective tests except for the Test of English will be printed in bilingual, i.e. English and Hindi. The candidates shall be required to qualify in each objective test as per cut-off marks determined on the basis of Group Performance in each test. There will be negative marks for the wrong answers in the Objective Tests. PERSONAL INTERVIEW Candidates qualifying in the online test will be shortlisted and called for Personal Interview / Group Discussion subject to the number of intake in each category. The Personal Interview may be conducted through video conferencing.

Bond and Training :
(i) The candidates selected shall execute a Bond in the format as specified by the Company to serve in BSNL for a period of two years from the date of their appointment as Junior Engineer (JE) (erstwhile TTA,) or for a period as specified by BSNL for the post from time to time. 

(ii)The candidates selected shall have to successfully undergo training as per the training plan laid down by the Company. If the official do not qualify the pre-appointment training in 161 attempt, he/she will be given one more chance to qualify the pre-appointment training examination, failing which he/she will not be appointed as Junior Engineer (JE) and his/her candidature/selection shall be cancelled.  
(iii) During the period of training, the Direct Recruited Junior Engineer (JE) will be entitled to Stipend (Training Allowance) as decided by the BSNL from time to time.
Choice of Examination Centre : The Junior Engineer (JE) Exam will be held in 25 BSNL Territorial Circles only at their respective headquarters.
